I have a 95 olds cutlass convertible one of the last 5 Pax cars. About every 7 or 8th time when I go to start it nothing happens. Everything lights up on panel You can hear a click in right hand circuit panel under hood. Had car checked they say nothing wrong. Could it be ignition switch,chip on key,starter relay or the brain? Suggestions. Ed ---

I’d check the battery cable connections, and load-test the battery first. That’s the cheapest and easiest fix, and often overlooked. Happened to me, and I thought the connections looked clean. ---

Rescueranger has given you a good starting point. The positive connector on those side terminal batteries are notorious for corrosion under the protective boot. Next time it happens, try starting in neutral.
