I have an '03 Subaru Forester, with automatic transmission. The indicator says it’s in Drive, but the stick is stuck in Park. Car won’t turn on. Any suggestions appreciated.

sounds like some transmission linkage is broken. You need to flat bed it to a shop.

I’d have to guess along with meaneyedcatz though I’d at least pop the hood first and look around to see if you can locate the issue. I’d likely get it to a shop either way - but you may be able to avoid a tow.
