# Car start

Two times this month my car would not start. AAA came yesterday & had me put it in neutral (auto transmission) - put foot on brake & the car started.

Sounds like the neutral saftey switch is broken or needs adjustment. Next time it happens jiggle the shift lever in Park and then try starting it. Otherwise start in neutral.

Thanks for the insight!  
Is that a repair that needs a dealership mechanic specializing in Chevys or can my regular mechanic do the work?
