I’m thinking of buying a 2001 Ford Windstar that sat outside undriven for a year or more. The owner is replacing the fuel pump, and installing a new battery. There is 90K. miles on it. What are the chances of other (seal?) failure on this vehicle? Should I look elsewhere??

If the owner gets it running properly, there should be no problem…He should drain the old gasoline prier to starting it. Someone should change ALL the fluids within a month or two…

There is probaly a good reason why it was undriven for a year. After he gets it running, you need a QUALIFIED MECHANIC to thoroughly check it out and guive you a repaort. If everything checks out, make an offer.

These vehicles have had many transmission and head gasket problems, so a compression test is in order.
