I agree with GeorgeSanJose voltage range. The battery is 12 volts, but 13.5-15 is the correct voltage to charge it. Start the vehicle, turn on all the lights, hazards, radio, dash fan and watch the reading for a few min. If it ever drops below 12 volts, you are using more than is going back in and you will loose battery power required to keep things running.
