There are not good car auction options for public in my area any way and after reading all these comments I will go with buying locally and have it inspected by my mechanic shop which I have been using for years.

Of course. The only type of car I would bid on at a public auction is something which is way too old and/or has way too many miles for a dealer to sell. Anything else is just too much risk.
My old boss always had success. He did buy older cars that are unlikely to end up on a dealers lot, though. Like 5 years old with about 75,000 miles. Nothing fancy, either.
