The outside driver door handle does not open the door any longer. Am I missing a switch of some kind? Or will this require the dealer? ---

You’ll have to remove the inside door panel and see if the linkage has come disconnected or broken. ---

Open the door and check on the door itself for a child safety lock. Slide it in the opposite position and try opening the door from the inside again. I just had this problem with my car. It was locked on one of the back doors but not the other. ---

There is no child safety lock on front doors.
