When I turn the temperature all the way to warm I get cold air from the vents. When I turn it just beyond halfway I get warm air. What could be the problem?

The first thing to check with any odd function of the heater is the engine coolant level, how is it? Think simple and basic, don’t jump right on the exotic posibilites

Make model year engine type auto/manual heating/cooling?

Why did you not check all obvious posibilites first, report your results and include vehicle data? Do you think we know this stuff without you telling us?
