# Buying a mini-suv Lincoln vs Audi, Acura? have you even heard of the Lincoln MKC?

On ugly cars:

When I was 17, I had a friend that had a Dodge Dart that was a rust bucket, had a missing front grille, part of the car was bondo/primer, and one door was a different color. The hood, however, was pristine. He used to just wax the hood because it was the only part of the car he saw when driving down the road. I was never sure if there was wisdom or just denial in that, but it made an impression on me.

He should have treated his Dart better. Those (and the related Valiant) were about as easy to kill as cockroaches.
