I am noticing a burning smell which smells like rear brakes burning after driving my 03 Honda Crv. I have checked all brakes for calipers hanging up. All wheels move freely. I dissasembled rear brakes and lubricated slides. Calipers are moving freely. Any ideas? ---

Have you heard any strange noises when making tight turns? I ask this because there is a known issue with the center/rear differential on the CR-v of this era. While I have never heard of any issues regarding a burning smell from these components, I suppose that this is possible if the noise issue was ignored for an extended period of time. ---
