I have a Honda Civic. When I release the brake pedal I hear a squeeking sound. It seems to be coming from the pedal itself. I have not noticed any change in the way the car brakes. Any ideas?

What year? How many miles?

Since it seems to be coming from the pedal it may be just the pivot joint at the top of the pedal’s arm. I had an old truck that needed a drop of oil there occasionally.
