The reason you might not get " honked at " is the same reason I don’t honk at annoying drivers or make hand gestors is because provoking road rage with someone who may have a firearm and a temper is not wise.

I have been honked at when starting up from a light with a tractor trailer, but as many times as I have walked back to ask what they wanted, I have never received a coherent answer.

In most of Texas, horns get honked on average about once a year, while the vehicle inspector is making sure all your lights and horn work. Some ranchers use the horn of their truck to call the cows for feeding. My wife was on a country road once and a bunch of cows were in her way so she beeped the horn, the next thing she knew, all the cows started running towards her little car mooing for their food. Now instead of cows being in her way, her car was surrounded by cows.
