County wants to make it easier for walkers/bikers to cross wide roads so they are narrowing road shoulders. The green will be a raised median. And the light grey will also be restricted. This is next to shopping center and there are large fedex shipping depots on this road. They have made it harder for trucks to make right turns as old roadway had NO medians. And these medians cannot be plowed now so winter snow removal should be interesting.
The green area was old “merge” lanes for cars. Now cars have to make a 90 deg right turn to get onto 40-45mph roadway.
Green = raised curb
Light grey = raised curb
Roadway for cars? Nah
