I blew my head gasket according to one mechanic statement. With the way the economy is today, I’m looking for a reasonable mechanic for repairs. Can someone direct me into the right direction in Orlando FL? Thanks ---

will this be a very costly job to repair? Should I sell or not? ---

Check “The Mechanics Files” on the Car Talk home page. It might have recommendations for mechanics in your area. Make SURE the head gasket is the problem before you spend the money to repair it. The mileage on the car and its condition will determine whether or not it’s worth repairing. We can’t tell either from here. Yes, a new head gasket is a costly repair, but it’s not as expensive as buying another car.
