# Becca's dad's 18 mpg on a Datsun?

What kind of a Datsun was he driving? Or Becca’s dad a lead foot. After suffering 12 mpg for five years with my dumb first car purchase, a 1971 Ford Maverick V8m I wised up and bought a 1977 Datsun B210. It’s 32 mpg fuel economy essentially paid for itself over the five years I owned it as gas prices soared after the first embargo. BTW, I also kept a little notebook although I was a little less … about it.

A lot of unmaintained wrecks were running on dead spark plugs with the coil wire almost on.
