Around here, there are well-known intersections where you tuck to the left so that right-turn-on-red traffic can get by. CT also has a habit of making a wide shoulder where that can be done, although the paint scheme does not acknowledge it. Sort of, “you can DO it, but don’t blame us for any bad outcomes.” There are literally workzone signs that limit state liability if you hit, say, a pothole or something in the workzone. “Hey, don’t blame us: we warned you!”
Depending on the year make and model, you can adjust the sensitivity for low light conditions…
My shop has/will have (once I move them over) 11 4’ twin tube shop/work lights and once installed I may add even more, it is the upper garage that only has the 2 LED screw in bulbs…

All the shop lights are LED…
I use a car wash. I use the manual setting rather than auto setting for the headlights. The dash lights will dim or brighten as I go through the car wash tunnel. Vehicles behind me using auto setting, you can see their headlights go on and off as the tunnel darkens under the brushes.
