I refuse to complete a marketing survey to read an article but it sounds like an attempted carjacking. A person whose career of choice is carjacking that can’t operate a M/T? How dumb is that? ---

Back in the early 1950s, many cars noted on the trunk or side panel when the car was equipped with an automatic transmission. As the automatic transmissions became more popular,. these insignias were removed. I can remember seeing Ford-O-Matic and Merc-O-Matic on the trunk lids of Fords and Mercurys equipped with automatic transmissions. Similarly, Chevrolets and Buicks displayed the Power Glide and Dynaflow script on models equipped with automatic transmissions. I understand that the Burglars and car jackers union is lobbying congress to note on the exterior of a vehicle whether or not the car is equipped with a.manual transmission. That would go a.long way in preventing bad guys from trying to steal.csrs they can’t drive.
