Arguments for ditching my 2008 Toyota Rav4 that burns oil?

Wow, a lot of comments that I have not read. Outside of trying the few things like the PCV valve, might want to see what the reason for the oil usage was in the extended warranty fix. That might explain why it uses oil and if there is a cheap fix.

At any rate, sure you could continue to drive it, but why? You already are becoming dissatisfied with it, can afford a new one, so I say trade. You will need to trade eventually anyway and it is a 2008. So why wait. I don’t think you’ll get $3000 though for an 08 that is burning oil, so don’t be surprised. A dealer is going to know and you can’t hide this from a private party and still sleep at night.
