You seem to want to know if there are any known problems with the 2001 300i. According to MSN Autos (Identifix), there are occasional problems with the engine: “An occasional problem on this vehicle is failure of the Intake and Exhaust Camshaft Sensors. The cost to repair the Intake Camshaft Position Sensor is estimated at $103.75 for parts and $175.50 for labor. The cost to repair the Exhaust Camshaft Position Sensor is estimated at $103.75 for parts and $19.50 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65.00 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.” ---
