Anybody feel strongly about the MB SLK350?

I have a friend who leases high end cars frequently since he always has three cars in his fleet. He tells me the only MB he would have kept was the early 2000 E series and since then things have continuously gone downhill. His new E series have been back a few times for warranty work already and he only keeps them for 2 years.

Ha ha

The 1996-2002 E-class was far more reliable, in almost every possible way, versus the model that succeeded it

With the newer model(s), lots of new technology was introduced, which proved to be extremely troublesome

The big problem, as I see it, was that much of this new technology was used in virtually every single model the company had

If you’re going to use something across the board, you should be quite certain it’s reliable

I think the newer Benz’s are more reliable. My sister in law just traded in her 2011 SL 550 and it had about 50k on it. Not one problem with it, just oil changes. She never put the top down and she did blow out a few tires in the winter.

“My sister in law just traded in her 2011 SL 550 and it had about 50k on it. Not one problem with it . . .”

If she had kept it just a little longer, I have no doubt it would “have delivered” . . . and I don’t mean it in a good way :naughty:

If the vehicle has history associated and you like it take it to local independent mb specialist and have it checked over for $100-$200. You get chance to meet a perspective mechanic and see if that is a relationship you want.
