What is the amount charged for the “extras” when purchasing a new car in CT please, and is the 6% sales tax charged on these fees also?

 Thanks!

Yes, there is a long list of “extra” fees charged by new car dealerships. Some are bogus; unscrupulous dealerships use them for extra profit. Others are legit (destination), and even covered by state law (title, license). Others such as the documentation fee, are imposed by management and the salesman has no leeway in reducing them.

See [http://www.carbuyingtips.com/car3.htm](http://www.carbuyingtips.com/car3.htm) for detailed information on these extra fees.
