The airbag readiness light stays on while driving my chevy truck. I know it means that there is a problem with the airbag system. My question is: Will the airbag go off randomly while driving? not during an accident? Thanks for your help in advance.

Your airbag system is now inactive. The airbags will not deploy, neither randomly nor when they are truly needed. You can continue to drive as usual until someone can figure out what’ s wrong.
