I sent this in a few days ago but don’t see it anywhere . So here it is again.

I have heard that you should run your car air cond’ once in awhile in the winter time to lubricate the compressor. Would like to here a few mechanics opion on this & how often & for how long each time? Thanks in advance . Condos

Once a month or so is good. Your car may automatically turn on the AC compressor whenever the “defrost” setting is selected. If this is the case you probably run the compressor in the winter without being aware it’s running.

By simply using the Search function at the top of the page, I found your original question and the two responses. Go to [http://community.cartalk.com/posts/list/2125887.page](http://community.cartalk.com/posts/list/2125887.page) in order to view it.

When you post a question, try to remember to either:

> Bookmark the thread so that you can return to it more easily
> Learn to use the search function at the top of the page

Either of these approaches is much easier than asking the same question multiple times.
