My air bag sensor has stayed lit for several weeks. I have an appointment to have it looked at but in reading comments on other forums, seems this is a problem with Hyundai models and to fix it seems to be expensive. If the sensor light is on, does it mean the air bag won’t function?

If the air bad warning light is on the airbags will not function in the event of a crash.

Don’t assume the cost of repair will be high until you find out why the light is on.

Thank you. It was diagnosed as needing a new seat belt for a cost of $400.
