I have a 2006 Acura TL with about 115,000. For the past 2 years, I have been going through batteries. The starter and alternator test ok. If I don’t drive the car every day, I will get a hard start after 24 hours and after 36-48 hours the car will not start. Once I get the battery jumped, it’s fine. I have put in 3 batteries in the past 2 years. Any ideas on what’s draining the battery?

It’s not possible for anyone to tell you specifically what is draining the battery without looking at the car, but here is a good video to help you figure it out:

Make sure all the lights, including the trunk, go off when the appropriate doors are closed. Don’t forget the curblights on the doors. Beyond that, watch 98caddy’s video and start tracing.

Agree with the others but you might want to check the seat heaters or maybe pull the fuse. This was a problem for a while with them. Don’t know if it was switch related or the grid itself.

Just an FYI, I’m not “Eric” in the video above, in case anyone was wondering. It’s just an excellent video for finding parasitic drains.

Do you have HandsFreeLink? If so, pull whichever fuse covers that and see if it makes a difference. A number of Acuras have had this issue with HandsFreeLink.
