I’m new here, but have an odd question. My 2006 Toy. Tacoma PreRunner Double Cab makes this insanely annoying sound at interstate speeds (70-80mph) especially on windy days. This shrill sound has occurred sporadically since we bought it new and is one of those things that I never thought they could hear or find if I took it in. The truck runs fine, and I feel it is a penhead sized hole that gets blow across at speed to create this noise. Any hints or tips on what it might be? Sounds like it coming from the front windshield area.

 Thanks,

 greg

It is probably a badly sealed windshield, but it could also be a problem relating to the weatherstipping on one of the doors. Tracking it down will be the hard part.
