When someone decides to resurrect a long-dead thread, I have come to suspect what I call “stealth spam”. This one might not be quite as obvious as the recent dual-posting personas of the Boston limo company owner, but–like you–I believe this to be an attempt at spamming.
I have quite the reputation for reviving old/dormant threads - where I feel clarification or correction is warranted. But in no terms am I tryng to “stealth bomb” any thread with spam.
