I have a 1997 Plymouth Neon and when I turn on the A/C it works fine but it wont turn off. Also if I shut off the car it drains the battery. I unplugged the electrical connections to the compressor and have had no problems but now that it is getting warmer I’d like my A/C back.

There should be a relay for the a/c compressor clutch. It is apparently sticking. Perhaps SteveF will chime in with the exact location of the relay.
