Recently bought used '99 Caravan. Hear a “buzzing” noise, not really a grinding noise, when it is put into gear. Don’t hear it again until you slow down to stop, like when it shifts down into first. Any ideas?

If it’s what I think you are hearing: it’s the normal sound the trans mskes - a couple seconds of rapid clicks. Someone at [allpar.com](http://allpar.com)’s minivan forum can explain what exactly is happening - but it is completely normal and is no indicator of a problem. My 99 Plymouth Voyager does this, too.
