# 99 4-Runner lock on back hatch doesn't work

My 99 4-runner had the latch on the back hatch break. took it to the dealer, fixed it. but the lock didn’t work quite right afterwards and has now ceased to work period, either with the key or the power locks.  
  
 Has anyone else ever had this happen?
