I’ve got a '98 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with about 119,000 miles. The driver info guages; trip odometer, fuel used, average milage, etc, are resetting themselves almost every time I turn the car off. Otherwise, it’s running ok. Is this serious & if so, what’s the fix? Thanks

It sounds like part of the engine computer is gone. It all runs through it. It complicates the diagnosis.

There should be a power lead to the computer to keep the memory alive while the car is parked. Check to make sure power is getting to it when the ignition is off.

Thanks for the reply. Any idea whata replacement costs?

Thanks for the reply. I’ll check the power connections & see if that’s it.
