Have been having to jump car off some-usually in AM but not always. Now the ignition switch turns without clicking and the dash lights stay on all the time-even when the key is removed. Car won’t start at all. Replaced the ingition switch w/o fixing the problem. It’s like having the key always in the on position.

The ignition switch is two parts: the switch, and the lock. Whichever part you changed, you need to change the other part. Here is a picture of the ignition switch: [http://www.autozone.com/R,677999/vehicleId,2142501/initialAction,partProductDetail/store,1140/partType,00189/shopping/partProductDetail.htm](http://www.autozone.com/R,677999/vehicleId,2142501/initialAction,partProductDetail/store,1140/partType,00189/shopping/partProductDetail.htm)

Unplug the ignition switch. Do the dash lights go off? If so, the problem is with the switch, the lock, or the linkage between the two.
