to be honest, I would have more faith in an old original part from a junk yard than I would in an aftermarket part these days. so I won t light the fire on you
Caddyman, for the price i’m paying I sure hope is gasoline. I changed out the fuel filter right after I bought the rig and what came out of it wasn’t that pretty, but overall its doing better now. I bought one of those deals where you put a wire on the plug then attach it to a clear tube with a light in it and then attach the lead coming from the cap. Worked pretty well. Honestly, the simple basic testing for a rig this old is almost better than what some computer will tell me. I have a lot to learn about the basic testing, but if I keep my eyes and ears open and my mouth shut, I hope to pick up a good wealth of knowledge to use on this and other rigs. After replacing both front CV’s, the water pump, radiator, and now this I’m taking a break for a month before I tackle any “planned” projects on the car.
