I wrecked my lovely '93 Volvo 240 and bought a '92 Volvo 240, and am in the process of trading out the best parts from the '93.

Following Chilton’s manual I am attempting to remove the seats from the '93 to put them in the '92; I might end up with the only two-tone Volov 240 interior if I can do it, but I can not get he back seat out.

Please advise on how to accomplish this: Chilton’s says to press down on the spot where the front of the rear seat to release the hinge lock, but this does nothing.

While I am at it, I would like to know the method for removing the back-rest and the front seats as well, and if it makes any difference if one of the cars has front seat heaters.

 Thanks!
