Would you know if there would be a difference in pumps from a stock 289 and a hp289
All older Mustangs used v belts, so the pumps all rotate the same direction. I don’t know if a higher-capacity pump was specified for the hi-po 289.
FWIW . . . I don’t think there were ANY mustangs using a serpentine belt set-up in 1967
That said, I suppose it’s possible a newer engine with a serpentine belt set-up now resides in the engine bay
Or maybe an aftermarket serpentine belt system was retrofitted, for a clean look
