I’m glad to hear your problem cleared up. We used to use the Prestone hose flush method, back when your car was new. You’d often see owners following G-dad’s Model T experience and running straight water in their cooling systems.

You may have to repeat the cleaning in a year. With that much rust, your water pump and thermostat might not be long for this world. The same corrosion would eat the blades off the pump.
