Same with my 2011 MKZ, just use a separate remote. The 2008 MKX and 2023 RX350h work fine. Go figger…

I’m not sure if this is an option for your opener, but our opener had an converter available to allow the signal from an older car to be translated into the signal needed for a newer opener. Do a web search for the name of your opener plus the word “repeater”, “bridge”, or “compatibility”.

Have you ever left home and about 10 minutes later asked yourself: “Oh \*\*it, did I close the door?” With these WiFi enabled openers it will close your door for you after a set amount of time. I set mine for 30 minutes. I’ve gone into the house meaning to come right back out to the garage. But then the phone rings and u forget. I’ll hear the door going down (the garage is directly below my bedroom) and say “Hey, that’s cool!”

I use the floor car jack
Jack it up. Clamp with vise grips and continue with various lengths of 2x4 on a heavy wood door. How heavy are those vinyl doors?
