# 2022 Ford Thunderbird - Steering adjustment switch

The electric Steering column will not tilt when the switch is moved.

Model year isn’t important. Check for power to the tilt motor while actuating the switch, I suspect the motor is stuck (tap on it with a small hammer).

Must have meant 2002, it’s a commonly reported problem on these although sadly the position sensor that’s possibly causing the problem is no longer available from ford. At least one has managed to get one from a salvage steering column
