driving down the road and lost right side of dash panel. no lights,nothing.

I really hope that the OP is not planning on trying to fix his fully-warrantied vehicle himself.  
Just take it to the dealership for free diagnosis and repair, and don’t concern yourself with the exact cause, or the “fix”.
