# 2019 Ford Edge - how to increase range for traffic alert?

The cross traffic alert only sounds when an approaching car is two car lengths from my car. My Subaru Outback would sound alarm at lest 6-8 car lengths from my car.  
I want more range to detect on coming traffic.

I doubt it is adjustable. You could ask your Ford dealer.
