Is it bad for the engine to turn off every time I stop for any reason then restart itself when I press on the gas? ---

Much has been discussed about the auto stop/start technology. Seems the only possible concerns are the potential for wear on the starter motor and the type/capacity of the starting battery. In as much as this technology is used by most manufacturers for a few years there does not appear to be any significant problems. I could see myself turning off the S/S on hot days to keep the AC compressor running. ---
