An Air Conditioner compressor clutch that engages and disengages repeatedly is a typical indicator that the system of your vehicle is low on refrigerant.

This won’t solve OP’s problem, but might be informative. Suggest to use a shop with a lot of AC experience for this problem. Don’t allow an inexperienced tech to get their training on your AC system.
