I am trying to replace the engine air filter in my Santa Fe Sport but the OEM filter seems to be in a housing that I can’t easily figure out how to extract the filter from, and the replacement from Advance Auto is the filter only (no housing).

Is the OEM filter removable from the housing or do I need to buy the filter and housing as a combination?

TIA,
Rob

Why don’t you grab those gray plastic pieces and pull them out? Might need to rotate them. Those rectangular pads would seem to have a purpose, no? Grab one and pull. Repeat with the second. Take note how they come apart. Reverse that to install the new filter.

The video did not show it, but I would guess the filter electric is loaded from the other side of the housing.
