# 2018 Lincoln MKC - Trunk self-opens

I have 2018 Lincoln MKC the trunk will open by it self. it has done this 7 or 8 times in 2 years. The garage in my condo is 6 ft 9 inches high when the tailgate opens by it self it hits the top of the garage, it cost me $1200.00 to repair damage to tail gate. took to a Lincoln dealer, could not find the problem. it has happened twice since then needing another $1200.00 to fix the tailgate. I am at my wits end

Look in your owners manual because I think all of these rear lift gates can have the height they open adjusted .
