Ground fault problem with the wiring. Fix it or just live with it.

If the OP knows the vehicle’s approximate range on a full tank, simply using the trip odometer–and filling up before it’s too late–is the way to live with it, rather than paying to repair it.

Honda has issued a TSB that addresses problems with the HR-V fuel gauges.

Some complain that fuel gauge stops working when the temperature drops to a certain point. Some complain that the gauge doesn’t reflect the proper fuel level when the gas in the tank gets low.
