# 2018 Buick Regal - Brief warning

After the engine stop/start system stops the engine and restarts it, I frequently get a message that the steering assist system is reduced. The message doesn’t stay on long. What causes this?

How old are the battery’s, you should have two, a small one and the normal sized one…  
The steering assist may have a fault code in the module, you may need a good scanner to access the code…

Have both battery’s checked, one may have low voltage causing issues with the module…
