# 2018 Audi Q7 - Piston ring problems common?

Doesn’t apply to 2018 model, but suggest you take a look at this and contact them if you want to know if the action is being extended to 2018 models.

Doesn’t apply to the Q7 either. But I own a 2014 Audi A4 2.0 turbo 4… so far so good!

[Carcomplaints.com](http://Carcomplaints.com) shows 11 complaints for the 2018 Q7 and none of them are like yours. These were all pulled from [NHTSA.gov](http://NHTSA.gov). It doesn’t look like a lot of people share your problem.

Which engine does yours have? The 4 or the v6? If the 4, then it’s one year removed from the problem years.
