Subaru forester 2017 only 20,000 miles started high pitched whining sometime between the 15K oil change and now. Mentioned it to the dealer they wan $110/hr for diagnostics. Driving me crazy, ready to trade in for Toyota. My first Subaru, I’m disappointed.
Any idea what the problem is?

This vehicle is under warranty , either find another dealer of look in the manual for a corporate contact number . Is it possible that they were trying to say that if the problem was not a warranty covered item then there would charges ?
