How do you know that the transmission is at fault, rather than the engine?
Is the Check Engine Light lit-up?

In any event, this vehicle’s _Powertrain Warranty_ should still be in effect, and both transmission and engine problems would be covered by that warranty. Take it to the dealership, describe the symptoms, and see what they might find.
