I bought a 2017 Lincoln MKZ Black Label at just under 13000 miles in July, 2019. Three weeks after the purchase I got a low tire pressure warning. It showed 31psi and the rest had 36 psi. Every three weeks like clock work I would have to air up that same tire. It became so predictable I purchased a mini rechargeable air compressor in November. Fast forward to Feb. 21 and the psi was down to 17. I took it to Discount Tire. They showed me the inside of the rim. It had a perfectly straight crack with no other obvious damage to the rim or tire. Needless to say, if I wanted to keep the same beautiful wheels 19” brushed chrome with black 15 spokes another one would have to ordered for a whopping cost of $900 before taxes and labor. I just wanted to know how common this problem is with the Lincoln brand. I had read most of the complaints concerning the 2017 Chevrolet Corvettes and I’m now leery of the wheels on my Lincoln.

Is the car still under warranty? If so, it wouldn’t hurt to see what the dealer says about this, although most likely they’ll say it isn’t covered.

Two choices 1. buy a matching wheel ( doubt if they are all bad ) 2. 900.00 will buy a set of 4 wheels and then you don’t have to worry about the ones you have.

It was a used vehicle so someone probably hit a pot hole or curb and damaged that wheel.

Check other sources. I found the identical rim for my car from another supplier. All I had to do was swap out the center cap. About 1/2 the price of the rim from FoMoCo.

Not knowing where you live…but around here in NH and Northern MA there’s this placed called RimPro. They can repair your rim and it’s far cheaper then a new rim.

Check to see if there are any services like that near you.

Yeah, I was going to recommend a wheel repair shop, one near me mentions welding cracked wheels.
